Women represent less than 25% of the workforce in the nuclear sector worldwide.

This underrepresentation not only limits diversity but also hinders the industry's growth and innovation.

 

WiN YG's vision is to Empower girls in STEM and women in nuclear to thrive in their professional careers . In this framework, WiN YG launched the Parentaly: Pregnancy, Parenthood and Career Development  Project, which aims to provide resources and guidance for women's work-life balance and career development throughout pregnancy and beyond.

 

The strategic objectives of Parentaly are to:

● Make studies to inform and raise awareness,

● Elaborate a toolkit that summarizes all the relevant information a girl in STEM should know to evolve in her professional career as a women,

● Conduct mentorship workshops and an anonymous platform to assist and support women in need while building a supportive community of specialised women within the field.

Women in Nuclear Global Young Generation aims to contribute to the creation of a more inclusive and supportive environment that enables mothers to thrive professionally while balancing their family responsibilities.


The research will examine the challenges mothers face in advancing their careers in the nuclear sector, identify effective strategies to support and enhance their career opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations for employers, policy makers and individuals to promote gender equality and support the career advancement of mothers in the workforce.
