Career Building Program

Career Building Program is designed for early-career and mid-career professionals and students, where WiN Young Generation Group and Women in Nuclear Innovation (WiNI) Group of Expertise unite efforts to collaborate. The program offers mix-mentoring, career building workshops and further activities. This initiative provides practical HR advice on resume crafting, cover letters, interview strategies (including negotiation), as well as a focus on career development, scientific diplomacy and preparation for grants and fellowships, tailored for young students and professionals.

Career Roadmap Development Extended Virtual Workshop 2024

The Career Roadmap Development Extended workshop was co-organized by WiN Young Generation (YG) and Women in Nuclear Innovation (WiNI) Group of Expertise.

 

This program was a premier event designed specifically for aspiring early-career professionals in the nuclear industry.

 

The workshop took place on April 9th, 2024 offering a unique opportunity for participants to gain invaluable insights and guidance from remarkable experts within the nuclear sector. 17 participants of 13 countries successfully completed the event and were provided with a certificate of participation.

 

The workshop was led by experienced professionals and featuring interactive sessions, and engaging discussions.WiN Young Generation and WiNI group of expertise appreciate the entire support of Professor Akira Tokuhiro from Ontario Tech University, Canada; Professor Mary Boadu who is the WiN Ghana President chapter, Ghana; and Professor Nuraddeen Nasiru Garba and Usman Musa Kankara from the Department of Physics, Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria.

 

Especial thanks to the WiNI members and collaborators: Dominique Mouillot the WiN Global President; Xiaohong Cheng the current WiNI Leader; Adoracion Arnaldos former leader of WiNI; Florencia Renteria the WiNI project leader of this initiative; Emma Wong who is a Senior Advisor OECD-NEA; and Amparo Soler the current WiN Spain President.

 

Last but not least, appreciation to the support and help of the young generation representatives Larissa Noudem the current WiN YG leader; Ilieva Ilizastigui theKnowledge Transfer Lead WiN YG; and Irena Shaleva WiN YG member.

 

This workshop provided a dynamic platform for young professionals to expand their knowledge, enhance their skills, and chart a clear pathway for long-term career success in the dynamic and evolving nuclear industry. After the program, the participants were equipped with actionable strategies, valuable connections, and renewed confidence to navigate their career journeys effectively.
